Things here at Science and Math Institute are going great!! We are having fun, learning and celebrating birthdays!! Happy Birthday Ms. Kim!! Lots of presents were given, and with her sharing her RED VELVET CAKE and CHOCOLATE COOKIES with everyone, it was an amazing day!!
Students are working on current events, spelling words and even that ‘nasty’ old math!! 🙂 We’ve done testing on the middle school and high school grades to find out their placements and are working on getting everyone into the right classes. The elementary kids continue with weekly spelling tests on Friday. Some kids are farther forward and some, mostly because of COVID-19 are a little behind. But don’t worry, we’ll get them all caught up and working hard now that school is back!
Speaking of COVIS-19, we are still requiring temperature checks and masks when entering into the school. We do have some masks, however, please send your child with one to wear. Our masks are going quickly!! We are still cleaning every night and deep cleaning on Fridays!
A reminder to everyone….school starts at 830am. We have several kids that aren’t here on time and that causes the entire class to be delayed and for your student to miss the first part of their classes. PLEASE have everyone here by 830am. Also, there has been some LATE pick-ups lately. School ends promptly at 300pm. Please have your students picked up by 315pm. We have a policy which does involved fees for late pickup, but we would like to not have to start charging parents for late pick-ups. SO remember, school STARTS at 830am and ENDS at 300pm.
Most of you have come in to sign your contracts, but there are still a few that haven’t. The State of Florida requires us to have contracts with all our parents in order to continue to except scholarships. If your student is attending our school you MUST HAVE a CONTRACT signed. If these are not signed, your children will not be able to continue to attend our school. So call Mrs. Marci and set up a time to come in and get these signed. 904-573-0883
If you haven’t noticed, we have been working on our driveways, our playground and building. We are making everything better for our students and school. Just wait to see what this year brings!!
We will be sending out emails soon with the link to your PARENT PORTAL for PRAXIS so that YOU can check on your students grades. Once you get the link you will have to set it up with a password. We will also be processing invoices and other items though this system this year. So make sure you set up an account when you get the email.
